Nice product. Fits both my 4 and 5 y.o. grandchildren. This will not completely hold the child up (probably depending upon their weight, of course; mine are 38 and 51 lbs); they need to do a bit of "treading" or swimming in order to stay fully above water . which is exactly what I wanted. My 4 y-o grandson isn't ready for it yet (he has no swimming abilities) but my 5 y-o granddaughter can swim underwater quite well and she loves it, as it 'assists' her nicely as she plays in the water; she's got to work a bit to stay afloat and it's perfect. Don't think you can take your eyes off your children with this on though; it's not a life vest! I LOVE it and it does want I want it to do . slowly teach little ones how to be more proficient in the water.
