Review on Security Dragon Touch Detection Waterproof by Cyrus Wright

Great set of surveillance cameras - easy to use!

I started like most with a Ring Cam to replace my doorbell and it's still a worthy addition. My family is looking for their own security cameras with no membership and offline storage away from the big world of technology. Cons: I think the biggest issue for some will be the power supply to the camera's power supply. So far I've installed two, one outside and through a 2x8 manifold above the garage. Nothing complicated, you just need a drill and a drill of the right size. To install other cameras I have to go to the attic and run extension cords next to the ferrules at the corners of the tubing where we want to install the cameras. Quiet with a bang. They connect very quickly and wirelessly to the "brain" computer that comes with the cameras. Easy installation of a hard drive in the brain. 4 screws to remove the top cover of the computer, 2 hard drive connectors, 4 screws to fix the hard drive and 4 screws on the back to fix the top cover. The computer turns on immediately and sends the interface video to the screen you connect to. A few basic setup steps and you're on your way to exploring the features you can customize. I installed a 1.5TB hard drive I had at home and it lasted me several weeks of HD video. Long enough to keep a long vacation away from home. I checked the human detection and it seems to take hold right away. I will also add more night vision photos on midday days. The computer has many customization options and it seems that most of them can be controlled from the phone app, which is very convenient. I like the interface, the ability to create cameras from the phone, customize notifications, sensitivity, high resolution and standard resolution. All in all a great starter kit and I like to use the other 2 cameras as soon as the weather gets a little better. In the spring I will most likely add a few more cameras to the system. Very satisfied so far and recommended for those who are not quite sure (just because of a small problem with the power supply to the camera power supply).

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Legacy model
