This is a no-frills upright vacuum cleaner that's built to last in a commercial environment. So I wouldn't recommend it for your home unless you live in an office building and vacuum multiple floors every day. I suspect the mechanics are pretty solid, but the build quality doesn't have the durability of previous generations. Male nurse. There's a lot of plastic in there, which reduces the weight (somewhat), but makes it cheaper overall. However, I expect good overall durability, especially given the simple construction. Hose and accessory storage is convenient and intuitive, and the hose is long enough for most common applications, although you won't be reaching ceiling corners with it. The bag and filter are very easy to access and the bag is spacious. I suspect that dropping bags would add unnecessary complexity to a simple and effective design and reduce the effectiveness of HEPA. Bags, however, are a pain. The cord is very beautiful. Its 40 foot range is fantastic and it's easy to remove and swap out if it's damaged or if you prefer a shorter cord. The cord is traditionally wound on rivets on the back of the handle and base. This item is rated 4.4 stars. Not exactly the kind of reliability I'd like to see in a 5 star product, but other than that it's well made and effective.
