Measurements far away, fabric and sewing issues

This is the item I bought for our son's birthday next month. He really loves the Cars movies and I thought he might respond well to Lightning McQueen's fluffy pillow. So when it comes to items that match their online descriptions, I have some flexibility in my criteria to determine how bothered I am when things don't match. If it's minor, like the color on the ears on our last Judy Hopps toy purchase and everything else is the same, I don't mind. It's easy to forget to update an image. If this is completely false or misleading and interferes with the use of an item e.g. B. the run time of a recently purchased paper shredder, I will report this to the company. So that's when you tell the company. . The online description for the pillow we purchased says it measures 17 inches by 9 inches. The label on the product that we received says it measures 15" x 6". Technically, both options are wrong. It is 13 inches long and tight. I've included a picture of him next to our level so you can see for yourself. I wanted exactly 17 inches. So I have too many measurement issues to be sure this product is being sold in good faith. Also, as you can see in the picture, some areas of the fabric have a pinker tint and the quality of the dye on the fabric is such that they have dyed the tips of the plush fabric but not all the way to the base of the fibers, and some areas are still very pure white. Note the visible spot to the left of the windows on the side of the car. There are also some poorly sewn areas around the embroidery where the satin stitch has threads sticking out in loops that were not fully tightened under tension when embroidering or unbuttoning. That's a problem enough that I would normally give it one star for improper marketing, questionable fabric quality, and poor workmanship. But I left that on the counter because I was ill and couldn't get rid of it quickly and I don't think it would hurt our little fella if he saw that and was exposed. We're supposed to do it with new stuff anyway, so I figured if it happens after the gift, maybe it'll happen sooner and maybe he'll play with it quicker. He doesn't like new things, it's part of how autism shapes his world. Anyway, this morning he picked him up from the counter and hugged him. Actually hold him to your chest and hold him tight in an "I love you" hug. Which saved him from a star. I think they need to market this more accurately and update their fabric and stitching. But my little boy loves it and luckily he doesn't care what the fabric looks like, it just looks like one of his favorite characters and he's happy. However, as a parent and consumer, I disagree with the way this is being sold online and I'm not very happy with it.
