2nd one that broke - Cable
I broke 2 of these, the first lasted about a year, the second lasted 6 months. Do yourself a favor and buy a genuine Audi part from Originalaudiparts - no, I don't work for them. The original product is much thicker and will hopefully last longer, and only costs $5 more than this cheap replacement.
