Update: I ordered some new AA batteries (8) and they charge correctly. I suspect this charger won't charge older batteries, maybe it's too sensitive. First review: This device only charges AAA batteries. All AAs show an error, then an empty box appears after a few minutes. Most of them are already partially charged and fully charged in my old Radio Shack charger. I have tried at least 8 brands and they are all wrong including Duracell, Energizer, Empi, Rayovac, Radio Shack. April 18 received a replacement. Thanks to customer service BUT they don't charge AA fees either. After 48 hours, the best charge measured with a professional voltmeter is a "faint" borderline yellow/green. April: still bad. No response from seller Added January 28th. I've found that if I unplug the charger and then turn it back on, it runs for about 2-3 minutes and then writes "Error". No response received from the company. Added February 6th - I think it's ok with AAA batteries, but AA won't change. Shows errors no matter what I do or what brand. FREE so I cry about the lost money and use my old Radio Shack charger that always works.
