A very basic cot with a compact, upmarket look

This is in many ways an ordinary cot. It's like a lot of the furniture you can buy on Amazon that comes almost completely disassembled and takes quite a while to assemble. The assembly was quite easy. I had to reverse a step or two to get those plastic sheets back in place (remove the protective sheet first, that's the only real issue). During assembly, I noticed that blue paint got on my hands. I cleaned it and there was no more "peeling" paint on the bed and it was still blue so it's not a big issue but clean it. You can use two 'seats' with your own cushions (my patio actually fits very well) but as the slats are thin wood I wouldn't fit a large child or adult there. This really is a cot and in my opinion it should not be considered for chairs. Great as a crib. Of course, it is very small, which saves a lot of space, but gives the child a more adult sleeping place than a cot. They probably won't fall out. It's low, so it doesn't matter if they do it, but the walls around them decide the exit. My son is very strict about everything and I was worried about plastic. He's hit it very hard many times and it's holding up and the corners are rounded so it's not dangerous. It's not 100% safe, but it does mean kids need to be a little more careful. If your child is very accident-prone and you cannot secure the room from children, leave them in the cot. The slats support the weight of a crib mattress much better than individual chairs would need to support a person. My main issue is that it requires a bit of fiddling to assemble. I think the finished product looks great, but it's noticeably lighter wood, thinner paint, and generally "smaller" than our crib, and you should think of it as disposable furniture that you'll use until your child gets a double bed. It won't last long, but it's not particularly expensive either.
