Review on 🔌 Syba SY-PEX15034: High Performance 2 Port RS-232 DB9 Serial PCIe 1.0 x1 with Moschip Chipset - Efficient Connectivity Solution by Tony Cole

I use this thing for my Cisco switches and it works great for what I need. I am currently using Ubuntu 10.04. The Linux drivers from the Syba website and CD are outdated. Luckily for me I found Startech drivers for the PEX4S552 item which is almost identical to the SY-PEX-4S. It's even based on the same chipset, so driver installation went very smoothly. I was glad I didn't have to return it, but am very disappointed that I had to go to another provider to get the drivers I needed. this thing works. I even emailed them for help but they didn't give me an answer. That's why this thing gets such a low score. I don't know if I will return to Syba for new purchases.
