Where Oh Where to Mount

**Update** A little less than a year later the rear mount failed, the tape literally came off in the middle, one side was still stuck to the fender and the other side stuck to the bracket. The camera bounced around behind me until one of my buddies pointed it out, forcing me to perform an emergency roadside video endectomy. I'm waiting for an answer from the manufacturer because in general I really liked this camera with all its features. So far, this DVR has lived up to all the expectations and hype. It was really easy to install and very easy to use. The hardest part was finding a place to install the cameras. I start with the bad that all can be overcome and then move on to the good. Cons 1: The cable on the camera comes out from the back of the camera, which severely limits the space you can install the cameras. At least for my application it would be better if there was a 90 degree connector on the back of the camera2. The camera angle can only be adjusted in one plane. Unless you have a good flat surface to put the bindings where you can point them in the right direction, parallel to the line of motion, this becomes difficult. 3. You only have one chance to attach the mount. Be very, very diligent in choosing the location. Although they include additional 3M spacers, if you find you need to move away from your original installation location, removing the old spacer is a breeze. I repeat. Be very careful when choosing a place. 4. The cameras are larger than expected, making them invisible. Please note that most of my cons are related to the camera mount. Due to mounting limitations, I decided to use a Go-Pro helmet mount to mount the front camera. This was the only way I could get enough room for the cable coming out of the back of the camera to clear the back of the camera. Disguise.Pro:1. Easy to connect. I had no problem connecting this system to my 2014 FLHXS Street Glide Special. I powered the system fuse, which has the added benefit of turning the camera on if the bike is disturbed, but turning it off with a switch.2. More than enough wires3. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) works like a charm. (Example video attached) 4. The picture quality is excellent.5. The app is minimalistic and offers everything you really need without a lot of extra features you don't need6. The cameras fit standard Go Pro mounts. Conclusion: This is a great camera that is worth the money. My original mounting location was between the forks, which was a huge mistake that showed how durable the cameras are. Now I have a dent on the fender but there is no scratch on the camera. Good build.
