I love this product for my fine, flowy hair. I have very soft, very silky, medium length hair that doesn't hold curls and has no raised roots at all. So I tilt my head down and spritz the roots with hairspray. Then I go up with the right side and stroke between my hands to create the mesh. I put cobwebs on my now lifted roots and with the help of gum they stay lifted all day. I also apply a little to the spiky parts of my hair to set it up a bit. In my 50s I'm trying to get my limp hair to "do something". This is the best product I have come across. It will look thick if you use too much, so use small amounts that stretch into a thin web.
