I bought this a few months ago and only used it last weekend because I recently had my hair highlighted so I wanted to wait and secondly I was a bit me a little scared to try. I bought this product because it was the only product that didn't require an iron. Most products of this type require you to straighten your hair several times to adjust the straightening effect. It seems to me that this causes so much damage to the hair that it is not worth it. The instructions say you can straighten your hair with a flat iron if you want it straight. I practiced a bit on my flat iron just because I wanted it to be a little straighter than a paddle brush. How to use: Shampoo and condition your hair as usual, then apply the solution and leave for 30-40 minutes, then rinse out 50% of the product. I kept my hair in a shower cap until it was time to wash it off. When it came time to rinse, I pinned half of my hair up with a barrette and rinsed out the rest. I couldn't reconcile rinsing off only half of the product without rinsing it off completely. I was afraid it wouldn't work. Well, I dried it with a flat brush as instructed. The instructions then say that you can iron as you wish. I did it like always because I like the feeling that the iron gives. I usually have to spray my hair with hairspray to keep it from frizzing and changing. By the end of the evening I noticed that my hair still looked fresh and after styling my hair a few times nothing was tangled so I was hoping this product would work. I woke up the next day and everything looked the same, but I knew washing my hair was going to be a real challenge. After several washes and drying completely, just a little bit curled up at the front again, so I ran a quick iron over it. If that's all I have to do for three or even two months, I'll be very impressed. It's my second day after washing and it feels like I just washed it. I like my hair to look clean and fresh. I bought this product because my cousin has the same hair as me (wavy) and she straightened it professionally before the pandemic and spent about a thousand dollars. I'm not in the financial position where I would ever think about it. Now I found a similar solution with a completely different price. She also made hers from Revain but I'm not sure what she bought but from what I've heard it worked for her too. It may not last nine months like her professional treatment, but I really don't mind doing it every three months instead of three to four times a week after shampooing. This product will really help me reduce the damage to my hair. I'll probably install this product on subscription and save every 3 months.
