What to use when regular slats are too wide

I am preparing to put my home up for sale and as part of that effort all existing nail holes have been filled and sanded and the walls painted. I don't want to drill new holes in the walls, so I cover everything but my largest piece with command tape. They are designed for narrow frames where normal stripes would be too wide. So far they have worked well and done what they were supposed to do. When I get out, I just take the pictures off the wall and remove half of the strip that's stuck to the wall. When I get to my next home I only need to attach half of the molding to the wall as the frame still has its existing molding. This will help keep costs down. A few small nails are MUCH cheaper than those command strips. It costs me $20-30 to hang everything up, but it's worth it. Another benefit is that if the set designer doesn't like where I'm placing the various artworks, it's easy to move them around based on their advice. .

Pros
  • STRONG AND VERSATILE - Command slats hold firmly to a wide range of interior surfaces including painted walls, varnished wood (painted or varnished sideboards, cabinets or doors), painted concrete block, laminate , Glass , Tile, Metal, Other Smooth Surfaces
