Despite a very nice first impression in person this collar's design was too hard to live with in the real world while on our 7 month old puppy and we stopped using it after only one week. The design's idea of slipping one end of the collar through a big metal ring on the other end before you can connect the buckle creates several problems the worst of which was chronic twisting despite the size (XS) being correct and not too loose. Runs a bit large. To be fair, let's call it very generously sized. If you measure and think you need the low end of Lg/Xlg, consider buying the Med/Lg which over laps it in fit. Also, the Lg/Xl I got first had no tag loop. The Med/Lg did. There's a good amount of reflective material. Some complain that the whole thing isn't reflective, but what's there is ample. This is a heavy collar, since it's two thick layers all around. It's not discrete. It's effective.

When I bought this I saw nothing but good reviews but now that I got it I'm looking again and the top reviews are negative and, unfortunately, I agree with the negative. My two puppies only wore these collars for about 3 months. I, too, had issues with the way the collar is constructed, but managed to make do. I did like the reflective trim and the softness of the collar itself so they were comfortable on my girls when they were fitting correctly. I really wanted to like this collar, but it was terrible! I ordered the size suggested, but it kept coming loose and twisting up. I had to tighten it a couple of times a day to keep it from sliding off of her neck. It does look nice, but it didn't work well for me. I felt the ring was a bit too big as well. pretty doesn't always cut it. The quality seems great, but it is pretty bulky and DOES have a weird like second layer thing going on, and it doesn't always lay flat because of the layering it does. Not sure why it was made this way, but I'm not sure I love it. Our puppy wears it daily and haven't had any issues per say, but don't love the design.

Sturdy, highly reflective collar. One of my dogs has a bad habit of undoing the buckles on my other dogs collar, and she's not been able to do that with this collar. Seems light weight, and comfortable. The nylon part of the collar has not frayed at all, but the reflective material has a few very small snags. Since my dogs do chew each others collars this is probably their fault, and not due to the sturdiness of the collar itself.

This collar is perfectly padded. I had a normal vinyl collar on my dog and some of the hair around his neck was rubbing off so I am hoping with this one it will not rub as much. After owning (or being owned by) 8 dogs, I have adjusted many collars, but this one had me baffled. If it is not supposed to be adjustable, then the designer has never owned a dog. Returned it.

I really wanted to love this, but I have no clue how this is supposed to be functioning as a martingale collar. The material is soft, the color was beautiful, but it is the strangest design.

Item is well made and very nice quality. I gave it 3 stars because it is not a good choice for a very small dog. It's too heavy and bulky for our little pup. While the sizing was accurate, it's just too bulky. Much better for a larger dog. Chose not to return it because the shipping alone was over $6. 😕

I have an older dog who wasn't used to the leash for regular walks, we had a large yard she could run around in to do her business. Since we moved, we have lost the yard and now go on regular walks several times a day. This collar was perfect to help her adjust to the process and it didn't hurt her while she was learning not to pull. Now, she hates if I take it off for her bath!

Told me a while to figure out how to put on my dog as it loops around which is different than a regular collar. My dog chewed it up within the first week but worked well for that short time. Is reflective when light is shown on it.

UPDATED: July 2019 - I just bought this collar for the second time. Loved the first one. It lasted about two years before the reflective strip started getting worn and it began to fray a little bit. So, I just bought a new one in a different color. I like the padded aspect and my puppy seems to like it as well. Fits well and can be adjusted for his different length hair in summer/winter. The adjustable size feature would be great, except for the fact that it slides too easily and the collar loosens to the point where it will pull straight off of the dogs head. I have one for my other dog, that is set to the largest size so there is no room for loosening, but for my other dog the collar keeps coming off. Doesn't take long to get loose if your dog pulls much. My dog is only 16 lbs, so I'm guessing it wouldn't stand a chance on larger dogs that pull at all. It's a shame, because…
