Great USB-C hub for your Macbook Pro

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro (2017 model) and they only have USB-C ports, so I have a USB-C Found C that would allow me to get standard USB ports, as well as an SD card, and even an HDMI and network port. This was one of the 8 in 1 centers I came across. I did a lot of research and finally decided on this one, it was a good decision. First, it can be powered using my standard 87W USB-C charging adapter as a pass-through while using this device (there's a USB-C port here). However, I will say that the macOS system information screen under Power doesn't show it's using the full 87W, although the product description says it can do 87W, now it says 81W. So its 6 watts, not that much. What I also noticed is that it doesn't seem to know it's talking to an Apple 87w charger, where if you plug an OEM USB-C directly into a Macbook it shows the details of the charger, again has it does not matter very much, as it is clear that most of the time it uses its full power when charging. Second, I noticed a few reviews from people claiming that it doesn't power their external hard drives or DVD/CD drives. I hesitated a little when I saw this. I can say with certainty that the previous reviewers were wrong. This hub had no problem powering my DVD reader. No problem to power an external USB3 hard drive with Samsung EVO 500GB SSD. I put a standard 7200 RPM laptop hard drive in this case and still turned on this laptop hard drive. So there are no problems with these devices. I plugged my iPhone into the USB2 port, chatted and charged, it's that good there. Finally, I used HDMI with a 4K TV and had no issues displaying/viewing the screen in 4K. Used a gigabit port and got gigabit speeds with a few speed tests. The SD card slot was also very good, it maximized the speed based on my card I had in it so it didn't slow down the SD card speed which was great. So overall I'm happy with this hub and will probably use it on a daily basis from now on. I love that it's about the size of a deck of cards and so thick. The top and sides are made of alloy. The lower part is made of plastic with rubber feet.
