This dress is good, but not great. It's not "costumey" and fabric is decent with a little stretch. There is a zipper on the side which is a pain to zip. The lace up detail in the back is cute but the ribbon is thin and looks cheap. I'm going to get a better one to put in there. The skirt is not legitimate 50's full. It looks better with the petticoat of course. I took pictures with and without the petticoat so you can all see as well as a picture of me flaring it out to the side. The last dress I bought from Revain the skirt flared out full arm length. This is something you could wear to a party that isn't even 50's and get compliments and be comfortable. It is true to size. It's a good buy for the price. The black color is black, not faded and the design was the one I ordered. After wearing it for most of the day I noticed little white moon shaped imperfections in the fabric that are not part of the pattern adding to my original thought of the dress being ok quality.
