First of all I would like to say that I have an official Apple MagSafe wireless charger as well as an official Apple USB-C 20W wall charger. Together they cost $60 (at the time of writing this article) and I think they're worth that price based on Apple's reputation and the quality of both products. I also have and love the $25 KMM Magnetic Wireless Charger that actually comes with the wall charger (at the time of this writing). The KMM charger has excellent build quality. The body is made of aluminum, which gives it a beautiful and durable look. It also has a comforting weight without being heavy. The design of this charger is also very well thought out. It can lie flat or be tilted in landscape or portrait orientation. The stand is simple yet elegant. There is a very flat rectangular area on the bottom of the charger. This space is ideally filled with a rectangular piece of metal that sits flush with the back of the charging pad. However, removing it opens a slot on the back of the charging pad. By inserting a metal rectangle into the slot, the cradle becomes either a horizontal or portrait cradle, allowing for customization of the phone's orientation. I tested throughput with a tester and when combined with a 20W PD charger, found that the KMM panel had almost the same charging power (9.43W) as the official Apple MagSafe charger (9.54W). . I'm not an electrical engineer, but I think most people won't find a 0.11 watt difference in charging speed noticeable. The KMM charging pad is about the same diameter and slightly thicker (useful with a built-in kickstand) as Apple's MagSafe pad. The magnet sticks just as well as an Apple MagSafe charger (remember, you'll get the strongest hold with a phone case designed for MagSafe, or no case anyway). So the KMM charging pad has the following advantages over the official Apple MagSafe charging pad... 1) costs 60% less (at the time of writing this article), 2) includes a wall charger, 3) has universal orientation options due to the included kickstand, 4) has a USB-C input to the charging pad, so you can use USB-A to USB-C (cable included) or USB-C to USB-C and choose the length of the cable, while the Apple MagSafe Pad only has a 3 inch cable with USB-C connection. After all this, would I buy a KMM charging pad again? YES SIR. Actually, I'm planning to get at least one more or two :)
