Music sounds great once you figure out what preset or custom EQ settings to use, but initially I didn't like them for watching movies. Right out of the box, they lacked the bottom end for movies. But now that I've set up an equalizer for music, I can say these are the best sounding headphones I've ever had. I wish there was a way to set the level of transparency. Sometimes I still have to take them off to hear the world around me louder. I tested how they sounded with music by listening to Chris Botti's "When I Fall In Love - Boston". I heard details I had never heard before. The sound is incredible. When the music isn't playing, there's no hiss. For me, no less important than the sound is that they stay inside. . I worked 2.5 hours in the yard in the summer heat and sweated a lot. They stayed in place the whole time and I didn't have to adjust them. All of my other non-cushioned earbuds do a poor job here. If I could get noise reduction and adjustable transparency they would be perfect for my needs.
