I bought them mainly out of curiosity. The box arrived and I wired several units throughout the house according to the instructions. While this seemed to work for the little cockroaches, it was very fortunate for everything else. The picture shows a room that is being remodeled. Before we started we had these ultrasonic repellents hooked up all over the room hoping to keep some of the bugs and critters out. Well, the test was interesting. We had several ants and the same little bugs. Zero mosquitoes. Which is interesting because mosquitoes came through the front door when getting in and out, but we didn't notice it in any of the rooms while we were working. The lizards were largely unaffected, including the curly tail lizards. While we saw roaches outside, we didn't notice them inside. In addition, after connecting to the network, no one noticed any looks from him. There was even a dog lying next to the device for a while and she seemed completely unfazed as she took a little nap. To be clear, this was not a scientific test, so my results should be taken with a grain of salt. But in the end I came to the conclusion that they are mainly celebrated for their actual performance. Mosquitoes may be coincidence, but other than that I have to say my part that the device isn't as powerful or useful as the description claims. 2 stars because it seems to work.
