Honestly you can’t really go wrong with skirts like this. They do have some versatility as to how high you want the ruching to go & where you place it on your waste. But beware - I think these do run slightly small - in comparison with US junior sizing. I bought a medium & feel it’s slightly smaller & shorter than the ones I’ve bought in the juniors section of kohl’s that are almost identical. I’d say that these are Asian sizing - they’re clothes don’t always fit the average American body. Asian sizing is very similar to our petite sized clothes.Anyway I’m 5’5” I weigh about 135 & my measurements are 36-28-36 if that helps. I bought a medium & It just fits around the waste & butt. I’d say it’s slightly more snug & slightly shorter than an almost identical US sized juniors medium skirt from kohl’s. I wish it had a higher waste band so I could wear a cropped top w it. I mean I could pull it up higher but it shortens the length which I’m not crazy about. But overall it really is cute & has stretch to it without being see through. I bought this one & the green/white flower one - that one definitely runs smaller and I would recommend sizing up - I got that one in a medium too & it has less stretch & that one probably needs to exchanged for the large - it isn’t quite as stretchy or comfy. So if you do decide to try the green/white or red/white flower one, size up bcz the material is different from this one & it’s just a little too snug.
