I think the smell of vanilla is what everyone is complaining about this cocoa butter. If you're not used to cocoa butter, or like me, and burned yourself from the smell when you were young, then it's a bit strong because the smell is right under your nose. But if you can endure it, it's worth it. The lip balm looks great. I felt like a princess when I put it on. It turned plum in color, which was surprising but still looked very cute. I ordered this because I saw an ad on social media and I needed a good lip balm to take home. I stay at home mom and virtual school study guide for my eldest son. For the most part, I'm not vain at all, but having a super pretty $1 lip balm is going to be a very precious and anticipated ritual. I can't tell you how amazing this lip balm is on the outside and on application. The shine even transfers to your lips! This is the best lip gloss I have ever used.
