I lost one of the original key fobs but I had another one that broke and only worked if you put it on stuck in the port. Otherwise it will not start or will be locked/unlocked. This little transponder saved me from visiting a dealer who offered over $300 to replace the tag and program it. The only downside is that reprogramming is more complicated than I would have liked. I watched the video several times and when I started I had instructions, a flashlight and a timer handy but still screwed up the first 3 tries. Luckily everything worked on the 3rd try and I was able to program the key fob that came with the kit. Congratulations to the porter who saved us a ton of money on repairs!
