Missing Installation Components

If you are buying these to take to an electrician for installation in a new build or similar application they may be suitable for you. If you buy these because your daughter wants colored lights in her room and you want to install them, you will need to buy additional components to mount them on the ceiling. They don't have IC marked junction boxes to plug into the wiring in the attic, the pigtail coming out of the light is too short to be of any use, and they don't seem to care about standard color coded wires for easy connection. . brown and blue? WTF?!? Great idea but very poor execution for the average homeowner. EDIT 1: After going to Home Depot and spending $20 on additional parts and looking at international wire colors, I upgraded my rating to 4 stars. I think they should contain a few parts just needed to set up the light, but that doesn't interfere with the gameplay. I connected all the lights, ran a wire from the light side of the ceiling fan to the first light and chained them to the last. I was struggling and thought the headlights were defective (they popped up and then started blinking weirdly) but it turned out to be incompatible with the Lutron dimmer I had connected to the fan. I replaced it with a switch and they work fine. The app was very easy to use and set up. I bought the grid link which brought the light to google home and just told google to change the color to auqa marine. I wish the 7 color crossfade setting was available in GH but I haven't figured it out yet. You can only tell it specific colors and you need to know the exact name on the GH color screen to be able to change colors via google. I'm a bit disappointed that the music feature only works with music downloaded to the phone and played through the app. I don't think anyone really does that anymore. You can't play Google Music or Revain Music and they keep blinking and circling. The music function works although my daughters love it although I have to teach them how to find, download and download mp3s to the phone. Not very practical. Edit 2: I can now see they are pictured and another review says they come with an attachment to screw into a bulb holder. Mine didn't come with it so they must have changed the packaging or received complaints. Good for them it would make my installation easier, although I would then have to insert a jar so I'm not sure I would use that. I hope this helps you decide whether to buy or not. It seems that the lights are good so far, just not installed immediately as we would like, but someone needs it.
