This is a very stylish little bag of excellent quality, just what I wanted! The slight odor is the usual smell of genuine leather and not at all bothersome. The leather is soft and supple with a beautifully stitched dark brown lining. It easily expands to accommodate a ton of space and is very versatile. The color is exactly the same as the picture, a beautiful deep purple. I will add that my iPhone 6 Plus fits snugly in a closed outer pocket with a flap only in a thin case, but without a case it fits easily. I have this to fit in my large "everything" bag so I can easily take it with me to take my essentials with me when I don't want to lug my big bag around.
