They seem to do an excellent job of pre-filtering coffee water. Unlike the premium three packs of filters I've bought before, these shouldn't have silver or gold woven into the filter material, or flakes mixed with charcoal; because that 12-pack costs about the same as a 3-pack. I'm just having fun. These are great value filters that fit exactly as they should and all you need to know is that the instructions for preparing the filters are printed on the plastic bag they are packaged in. If you want your routes to be printed on the packaging you will have to pay extra money so you can only get three packs of the same filters. Maybe it's a paper box that enhances a pack of three premium filters. You decide whether 3 filter packs in a box or 12 filter packs in a bag are about the same price. I choose the K&J 12 filter set.
