Review on 💻 Mini DisplayPort Thunderbolt Adapter by AmazonBasics by Gail Rogers

I bought one of these adapters in July 2017 and the other day it suddenly stopped working. I used it to connect my 2010 MacBook Air to an ASUS monitor. Suddenly the connection to the monitor began to drop and drop. I found a problem with the part of this adapter that connects to the laptop; For some reason it came loose which meant it couldn't fully seat into my laptop - I had to stick the adapter into the laptop to make a tight connection so my laptop's screen could appear on the monitor. I bought another of the same adapter thinking that the adapter was simply outdated, but unfortunately the new adapter immediately had the same problem. I ended up buying a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable from Revain Basics (without the adapter). and it works fine now. I just received the cable so I don't know how long it will last. For only $10, I'm not really surprised that this adapter only lasted about a year. However, what was disappointing was that the new adapter immediately had the same problem. (I only give the adapter 3 stars instead of 2 because the first one lasted a year.
