I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of these candles. I was a bit worried because the price was much lower than others I had seen online. They were priced on par with the cheap unattractive ones I've seen in stores. They are all plastic but strong enough for the job and have a nice finish. We put them in the windows of our cabin, which is a few hours from our house. This means that we are not there all the time and our neighbors take care of us when we are not there. Seeing the flicker from his seat, our neighbor, a volunteer firefighter, grabbed a walkie-talkie, an ax and a fire extinguisher and made his way to our cabin. When he saw the whole cabin flickering, his first thought was that the whole cabin was smoldering. He was about to call the fire department when he pulled into the driveway and saw they were window candles. He called us so we could laugh together. his last comment was "Well, they're cute." I don't think you could find a better, more realistic candle for the money. I would like to buy more but they are currently sold out. If you can get them, don't hesitate.
