My grandfather insists on keeping his phone at home even though he never uses it. It didn't help that he could barely hear him. I figured if he paid his phone bill every month he could use it so I ordered this one as it had everything he needed and at a great price. It's an old regular phone line so it was easy to install. Simply plug the base into a wall socket and then plug the phone cord into the base (it even comes with a cord). The phone turns on and works in seconds. To make it even easier for him I added some phone numbers and names to the phone. It was surprisingly easy and only took a few minutes. That way he doesn't have to look up our numbers, and our names will appear when we call. His biggest problem is hearing, so I put the call on high. It's loud enough that even he doesn't have hearing problems. The ringer volume is quite loud and I found calls clear too. He could hear well on the test calls I made with him. The buttons are large enough that he won't accidentally press more than one button at a time. They're also easy to squeeze (another reason he needed a new phone). A small guide is included with the phone to make it easier for him to get used to the phone. So far I'm happy with the phone. If anything changes I'm sure he'll let me know and I'll share an update. It's a basic phone that's just perfect for those who don't want/need any extra features. It's loud, has big enough buttons, and is wireless. It feels like it was a great choice for him.
