Bought as my lowest fan setting didn't work. After installation, all settings work as before. However, please note that the shape of this item is not exactly the same as the original item. The original part has a resistor and a cap covering it. However, due to the layout of this resistor, this cap is not suitable. However, this should not be a problem as this replacement part screws directly into the original holes and still provides a complete seal without the need for an additional cap. No extra screws or parts are needed and while I'm no mechanic the plastic cover can most likely be thrown away. If the screw holes don't line up, just rotate the part 180 degrees and they should line up (at least on the car it's on).
