Review on Shure SM35-TQG Performance Headset Condenser Microphone - Hands-Free Audio with TQG Connector, Compatible with Shure Wireless Systems (Bodypack Transmitter Sold Separately) by Kirk Arroyave

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This is not a lightweight mic for a TED Talk headset.

For a microphone designed for people who move around during a conversation (e.g. fitness trainer, public speaker, etc.), I can't believe it's that heavy. I can't wear it for more than an hour without my ears hurting. Even the XLR connector is heavy with an adapter. These things pull on the cable and the headset itself when not supported by themselves. I'm not saying it's useless for any application, but for me (gaming) it wasn't a very good solution and I feel like money was wasted because I probably won't be using it much. It's a shame because I was hoping for a really lightweight device that wouldn't rest on my head like traditional headset mics do, but this isn't the mic to go for. Sound quality is excellent, although worth it.
