Description of Shure SM35-TQG Performance Headset Condenser Microphone - Hands-Free Audio with TQG Connector, Compatible with Shure Wireless Systems (Bodypack Transmitter Sold Separately)

Wireframe headset fits securely and comfortably for active performers and multi-instrumentalists. Tight, unidirectional cardioid polar pattern rejects signal bleed and feedback for use on loud stages and behind floor monitors. Flexible gooseneck design allows for optimized placement that further improves source isolation. Lightweight and low-profile form enables comfortable, long-wearing use. TQG version REQUIRES a Shure wireless body pack system or the RPM626 in-line amplified to work properly. The TQG requires an in-line pre-amp (RPM626) or a Shure wireless system to achieve both power and gain. The SM35-TQG is ONLY compatible with Shure body packs or devices with a TA4F connector. The headset locks and does not comes in and out when used with a device with a TA4F connector.

Nice choice! in Wireless Headset Microphones

I bought this unit to replace my Shure WH20. This greatly affected the sound quality with deeper bass and clearer highs. The WH20 had a kind of punch. The SM35 is also more comfortable to wear. It can only be worn on the left side, but it seems to work well backwards on the right side as well. I am very happy with my purchase.

  • So far so good

  • Not sure

Great sound, well suited for wireless headset microphones

It took me a while to get used to this mic as I speak loudly and the mic seems to be sensitive, after working with it and adjusting it I really like it. My voice sounds clear and distinct. The only thing I don't like is that it's heavier than others I've used. What happens is that I set it in the perfect position first thing in the morning and then throughout the day as I move etc. it starts to fall off and I catch myself adjusting it several times during use. But other than that it's a great…

Excellent mic for noisy environments

I recently decided to start a podcast with a friend and we wanted to record it at local bars where it can get pretty loud. These mics were amazing. You get a little background, but we're very clear and have great sound quality. I don't wear them for more than two hours at a time, but they're comfortable for that long. Even headphones can be easily attached to it. Also, I wear glasses and the way they sit on my head goes well with the frame of my glasses.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Useless features

This is the best headgear mouse for Shure! Just buy it.

I recently switched from using a handheld stand microphone to headphones with a microphone when playing the guitar to have more freedom of movement. I have to say that this mic sounds so good. It's almost as good as my sm58 shure mics. I bought and tried the Audiotechnica Pro8HE which is pretty damn good too but this one loses. Shure has a fuller and richer sound in my opinion. I use mine with a Shure SC1 transmitter and a TQG (Shure connector) so make sure you buy one with the correct…

This is not a lightweight mic for a TED Talk headset.

For a microphone designed for people who move around during a conversation (e.g. fitness trainer, public speaker, etc.), I can't believe it's that heavy. I can't wear it for more than an hour without my ears hurting. Even the XLR connector is heavy with an adapter. These things pull on the cable and the headset itself when not supported by themselves. I'm not saying it's useless for any application, but for me (gaming) it wasn't a very good solution and I feel like money was wasted because I…

It would be nice if the sound didn't stop

I'm a fitness trainer and I use a microphone in my headphones to give classes. I'm on my second set of these headsets and they all cut off after 2 or 3 uses. Sometimes I teach 4 hour blocks and at the 2.5 hour mark the audio starts to fade and/or the mic stops playing entirely. I ended up requesting a replacement, during which I ran a test between both headsets to see if I could isolate the problem from an anomalous defect in the first set I ordered, only to find that my new set came a few…

great micro especially for the price.

I have the "Wired/XLR" version which is basically the same as the wireless version except it comes with a built in preamp adapter that converts it to XLR. So it can be used with the wireless package if needed. The mic sounds amazing, especially for the price, and it's comfortable. Shure quality is hard to beat. The ONLY issue I really have is that they only do it for the left side of your face - it can't be switched and they don't do it for the right side. However, I quickly got used to it. It…

Shure SM35-XLR Headset Microphone

I bought this because I didn't want to get stuck on a stationary mic while playing guitar. Here are some of my takeaways on this mic. Make sure you have phantom power for this XLR wired microphone with preamp. The first thing I noticed when connecting the microphone was that it didn't work. The mic needs phantom power, and once I compensated for that, it worked. My previous mic didn't require this. The headset is comfortable, flexible and stays in place. The built-in preamp is the most…

Pros
  • New to my collection

  • Not as thick as other picks

Very hard to find fitness trainer parts. If you work for LA Fitness and can confirm that the device/receiver in your club is indeed a SHURE branded device, this is by far the best and most up-to-date option for you to avoid the drama of broken and worse smelly and gross headphones . (Lycra bands are filled with bacteria and cannot be washed). Do yourself a favor and buy it for yourself. It connects to the gym's battery and wirelessly "connects" your voice to the club's main system. The old chin
