I bought this because I didn't want to get stuck on a stationary mic while playing guitar. Here are some of my takeaways on this mic. Make sure you have phantom power for this XLR wired microphone with preamp. The first thing I noticed when connecting the microphone was that it didn't work. The mic needs phantom power, and once I compensated for that, it worked. My previous mic didn't require this. The headset is comfortable, flexible and stays in place. The built-in preamp is the most inconvenient aspect, as it has some weight and you have to attach it to your clothing with the clip that comes with it. It's too heavy to let the preamp hang down. A woman may not have a belt or pocket to clip on. This microphone does not come with a case or case, and you can purchase a carrying case and XLR cable as accessories. The sound quality and features met my expectations, so I'm happy with that.
