First of all, this is NOT a network switch and does not allow multiple devices to connect to the network through an Ethernet port at the same time! This device allows multiple connections in a bus system, which is what we use it for. It also allows devices to share an Ethernet connection if you only use one at a time (saves the hassle of running a patch cord from one device to another). The device is a bit bulky and not particularly flexible, but the quality is there. more than I expected for the price.
