I always thought putting something in front of the camera was only for government paranoids but 1. it's a real problem and 2. it's a thing , which is useful in everyday life. I work for an organization that uses a lot of external conference lines and it's a very good idea to have this manual option to prevent others from seeing my video. It does not block the lens when opening and is very easy to use. I also like that it's very discreet and doesn't interfere with my laptop closing properly.
