Review on 🐈 Multi-Magnetic Catwalk Door+ by Aaron Urena

Only solved half of our problem

I bought this door last week hoping it would solve our problem. One of our cats was kicked out of our house (pees repeatedly on the couch!), while our other cat has to roam freely between the house (she is blind and cannot be locked outside for safety reasons) and the garage. where the tray is (I can't keep a tray around the house. I'm on my second pregnancy and the smell is unbearable!). Two days ago my husband installed the door and I attached a magnet to our blind kitten's collar. She figured out how to operate the door in a few hours (we had a cat door before so she got the concept). I left our wicked kitty in the garage overnight and we went to bed thinking the problem was solved. That night around 4am we were woken up by a horrible knocking because the nasty kitty had decided to come back (the hatch is hard plastic and his nails squeaked horribly on it). I got up, closed the bedroom door to block out the noise, and fell asleep again, thinking that he would get tired of trying to come back and would soon give up. Less than five minutes later I heard scratching and knocking again, this time on our bedroom door! Within 5 minutes of his first attempt at tricking the cat door, the evil kitty did well! The next day he went out freely and came back fully figured out how to bypass the locking mechanism of the doors. So now we're back to square one! I think we only step out the door because we have a feral possum that loves to hang out in the garage and it's comforting to know it won't come into the house. With hope. We have two other cats and neither of them could get through the door without a collar so maybe it works for a regular cat. I gave it three stars because it will likely work as intended for your typical feline. Our evil cat is particularly smart and persistent when he's up to something (he's been quite handsome over the years), so I don't blame the door for not holding him back. But I don't think this door won't keep raccoons out as they are usually a lot smarter than regular cats.
