Amazing Swag Bulbs! a lot for a simple piece of plastic or for a lampshade to have it already there. I had some white paint that I painted onto the bottom half of the bulb itself to reduce glare. When you paint a lightbulb, be careful what color you choose, blue, green, etc. give that tint to objects or people and give that tint to their skin. For example, you can try pale or really pink or pale or very fleshy etc. to test it. You can always paint over it if you don't like it. *The coloring of the bulb did not damage the bulb I received with the swag bulbs. Some lightbulbs that you can't even touch because of the oil on your skin can shatter as soon as they turn on and get hot. It's up to you whether to paint your bulb(s) etc. or not to paint your bulb(s) is up to you.
