I have been using this type of hangers for over 15 years. They are extremely strong and I got rid of exhaust rust before they knocked me out. Before installing them I paint them with weldable paint and then paint the hangers and exhaust pipe at the weld with aluminum colored heat resistant paint to keep them from rusting as they are regular cold rolled steel.
