I would rather give this 5 stars for home theater; 3 1/2 to 4 for music only. Pros: Beautiful, beautiful stands, easy to mount on the wall. Great for home theater considering its size and price. When used with a good subwoofer in a small to medium sized room, they produce high quality, lively and rich sound. Less Good: 1. Sometimes I feel like they could have used more clarity on the vocals, although the source material might be the problem. 2. For 2-channel music, I mainly recommend it for listening at low volume. When forced to fill a room, they can sound brittle, especially on female voices and brass instruments. I am currently using the KEF with a REL subwoofer, which works best with speakers that have a flat frequency response down to 80Hz or below. The best crossover point I've found between the REL and KEF is around 100Hz. The ideal subwoofer for KEF would probably have a low extension comparable in depth and quality to the REL, but with a crossover at 120Hz or a little bit higher.
