I use the Rode VideoMic Go which comes with my Canon 80D Video Creator's Kit. Foam rubber sleeve for the microphone marked "RODE". It doesn't work well upwind so I bought this DeadCat. First I removed the RODE foam sleeve. Then I tried to slide on DeadCat. However, it was a very tight fit. At first it seemed like I couldn't go all the way. Then I realized that inside the DeadCat was a foam case - the same as my original RODE foam case (just without the "RODE" lettering on it). What happened was that there was a foam cap in the DeadCat, when I put it on the mic, which prevented me from putting it all the way down. I took the foam cover from inside the DeadCat and placed it over the microphone. Then I placed the DeadCat on the foam cover. It took a little fiddling, but I ended up putting it on. I took it to my kid's soccer practice and shot some videos with my Canon 80D. The wind that day was 10-15 m/s. I hear muffled wind noise in my video clips, but overall it's 90% better than non-DeadCat recordings. I recommend buying it if you have a Rode VideoMic Go and want to shoot outdoors. It is not expensive, fits very well and eliminates 90% of wind noise. Then I placed the DeadCat on the foam sleeve. It took a little fiddling, but I ended up putting it on.
