Used for three 27 " monitors

I wanted to find a stand that wouldn't break the budget but at least had the standard features that LG provides for three 27" monitors 27EA63 which I wanted to use in surround sound and as an advanced workstation. I read that only this one will work with telescopic arms. This product is ideal for all needs. The base is heavy but no more than 1/8 inch thick. It occupies a large area. I also put about 15 small felt pads on the floor so it wouldn't scratch my table. Latch - Screw on base, bracket assembly and VESA mounts. Then install the monitors on the brackets and adjust them. This part was easy. Up and down I CAN get it to turn left or right, but I feel like I need a vise and a hex head impact drill to do it - it's REALLY there and I can't get a mechanical advantage with a simple hex wrench. loosen these screws. I'd have to unscrew the hinge, move it a few degrees, check, and then tighten, hoping they wouldn't tilt again when tightened. Ultimately, this means that I can only align the monitor with my wrist, which only offers a very small angle that is not suitable for reading. I found a solution that works - it's so close that I just push the two frames together and a little counter force holds them in place and lets them line up perfectly. I would pay about an extra $20 for lockable left/right rotating mounts so I can fine tune the setting. I think this oversight deserves a star deduction - it's such a shame because it was so close to perfection. This item was very well designed and despite the above issues I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. I'm really surprised they can sell these things for the price they're offering them. Someone here posted that you need some sort of upgrade kit to make it work with the 27" or they will sag. I haven't experienced it, but the LG 27EA63 is a very light monitor, maybe that's why. The thing is built as I'm a tank, I can't imagine you can let it sag like that, especially when the bezel is on the left and the right monitors are aligned with the fixed center monitor.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
