My cockatiel is 17 years old, his friend my kennel moved out when he was 20. They were always there and after they moved out he started picking a lot. Trouble is, he never liked me holding him and I respected that, but I had to interfere with his plucking. I bought it to put on another window and he loves it. He even performs and dances to his top secret song (hence the questionable video. He doesn't like being seen doing it). Stairs, so if you chew heavily and are concerned about this, be aware. In my case, I'm pleased that he's chewing anything but himself. I hang up some toys or treats, put a mirror in front of him and he did well! Assembles pretty quickly. One was cut off a bit so it took some fiddling. It took some petroleum jelly to get it working, but other than that it was pretty easy. I would say we are both happy with it.
