First of all I want to clarify that this device does not replace a flat iron, but it saves a lot of time when straightening most of my hair. I still need a flat iron for touch-ups and short strands along my hairline, but it's always really quick. It took me about five minutes to go through the instructions and understand how it works, less than five minutes. until the straightener reaches the right temperature (I used 410°F) while brushing my hair and about 5-10 minutes to straighten my hair. This tool is very easy to use! I get about twice as much hair at once as with a flat iron. And when I thoughtlessly touched my head with the brush, it didn't hurt because the bristles are longer and don't get hot, so my skin never touches the heating element. Also, my hair wasn't dry like it sometimes happens when I straighten too hard or too slowly, maybe because there are fewer hairs in direct contact with the heat. When you factor in the time saved by using this brush on your straightener, it's worth the price.
