Review on 🔊 Edifier USA Prisma Encore 2.1 Bluetooth Audio (4001024), Black - High-Quality Wireless Sound System by Angel Riley

I'm a fan of form and function and this Edifier Prisma Encore speaker set is the only one that fits my needs. The packaging is great, the build quality is great, the design looks really good and the sound should theoretically sound really good too. Unfortunately, they made several options that leave a lot to be desired. If you look at the specs, the frequency response starts at 60Hz, meaning some of the really deep bass - which vibrates on the table and walls - is simply absent. While I'm not a fan of loud, wall-banging woofer systems, I do enjoy deep bass when watching a movie, and the subwoofer in this system just won't do it. Then there's this really terrible idea of removing the bass control from the subwoofer entirely (WHY? Ironically, it's on the cheaper 2.1 system). This means you don't get the deep bass and punchy beat you get, you get almost ALL of it, all the time! To top it off, the system itself is pretty flat. So if you like listening to flat music, you probably need some sort of EQ tweak. Luckily I was able to find an equalizer option in my computer's sound control panel and tweak it to my liking. But of course that doesn't solve the bass problem. Finally, the cables connecting the subwoofer to the speakers are too short. In fact, they are so short that I have to place the subwoofer between the center speakers. Plan a few bucks more for a longer speaker cable set. In case anyone from Edifier is reading this. Please make the subwoofer an inch taller, use a speaker that probably starts at 30-40Hz, add bass and treble controls, make the speaker cables a bit longer, add a volume control on the back of one of the speakers ( so it's easier to access), and then you have a convincing speaker system. You already have a great product in terms of design, you just have to refine a few things.
