Suitable for insertion and removal. However, I had a damaged hose that needed to be pulled out and the tool's thread engagement was insufficient to remove a hose with a 25 year old hole. I had to install the tool with a Lowes concrete/drywall screw with larger threads and fewer threads per inch. Inserting it for my 91 F150 was a breeze though.
