Review on Motorized Tie Belt Scarf Rack by Sharper Image by Jennifer Holt

I bought two of these for my husband. Neither of which will work if he attaches zip ties to each of the rungs because the total weight seems too heavy for the motor. If he ties all the other staves, then one works very well (i.e. spins quickly, doesn't slow down after a few seconds, and doesn't seem to work under weight) and the other works well but is slow and seems to have trouble spinning itself to move, and that the small motor could not take it. Was surprised that: 1) for the price none of them worked with nearly 72 connections they can hold; and 2) there was a pretty big difference in how they ran, even with half bindings - almost like they have different motors. Since weight seems to be the issue, I think they work great when the ties are lighter. It's also possible that all motorized tie racks have the same problem. But they had to develop a product that would work with all ties on the market, regardless of their weight.
