The biggest problem is the tiny traction: Even at full power, the Tini is pretty limp, barely pulling a 1.77 m (5ft 10in) adult. The speed is much lower than advertised, it may be higher for a child. This is a pool toy and is not suitable for fighting even a 1 knot sea current. It's a flotation aid at best (and the fins are much faster and hands-free.) The second biggest issue is that the software (probably for safety reasons) cuts power to the motor if even a grain of sand gets between the stator and rotor around the to loosen the rotor, but the power cut occurs again after a few seconds as soon as the sand first approaches the propeller. This is a kids pool toy, not real DPV hence the 3 stars (rated as real ocean DPV, I don't get a single star.) And read the manual: they mean when they say rinse thoroughly (20 minutes) . in fresh water after use in salt water. If you don't wash it thoroughly and well, the rotor will rust on the stator - luckily I've read the reviews and avoided this problem so far. Take it home: This is a pool toy for children. Keep Tini off the beach.
