I had some nasty issues using the vitrectomy equipment. I was told I had to stay on my head for ten days. I used the device for probably five days. The hole for the headrest wasn't big enough and I have a small head. I was afraid I would damage the operated eye, so I placed the operated eye in the hole and placed the rest of the eyes on the headrest. I'm also a small person so the distance from the bib to the part of my head in the headrest would be uncomfortable. I was very disappointed but somehow had to raise my head in a sitting position. The vitrectomy speculum was difficult to place because it was not open wide enough. I've had bad experiences with vitrectomy equipment, but I had to make the best of it.
