I want the headlights to be more diffuse

I've had a lot of different cheap LEDs and I know what I need: good workmanship, good performance, good pattern and a good price. I've had them for a year or two now and they haven't filled with water or fallen off. They're easy to adjust but don't move on their own (I used the brackets that came with it, but trimmed them down to size). The performance is much better than cheap Chinese light bars. I hooked them up to an old PSU and they turned out to draw about 80-90% of the advertised power. Much better than the cheaper bars that only use 20%-50%. I use Rigid Industries/Trucklight 5x7 headlights and 7" Hella LED headlights. They are both much brighter than standard halogen headlights and both complement each other perfectly, but the three light bars just cancel them out. Work for the oscillator! The circuit is ok. I wish the headlights were more diffuse (linear diffuse would be better), but they were exactly what I expected (10° way too bright in the center). Combination of three of these strips at different angles (≈10°) to spread a spot beam - that's great! I get a lot of floodlight and a nice wide spread (≈30°) spot. I put it downwind. Another guy has to find the source of the whistle and some foam or glue or something add something. Also, I can confirm that they cut carrots pretty badly. Just puree carrots 2/10, recommended only in a pinch if pureed carrots helps ;)

Pros
  • Accent and terrain lighting
Cons
  • Not everything fits
