CCA C12 & Whirlwind Earbuds = Holographic sound stage

A little background before I start. Have found that there is an IEM with better bass and treble. And most inexpensive IEMs were half-V shaped. The KZ ES4 introduced me to quality sound in a small form factor, with excellent bass extension, good mids and low peak treble. I gave my KZ ES4 to a relative after upgrading to KZ ZS10 Pro. After a while, I bought them Whirlwind earplugs, which improved sound quality, enhanced bass extension, and gently tamed noise spikes. And the soundstage has been expanded a bit. Now getting away from the fact that the reason I bought CCA C12s was that on my kz zs10 pro the C pin connector broke and the cable sometimes fell out. The CCA C12 are based on the KZ ZSX hardware with different body and sound signature settings. Bass extension is subtle and clean, mids are a little forward-thinking, and highs are clean and linear with little roll-off. Testing with Swirl earcups makes the soundstage somewhat holographic (3D effect). I believe the ear tips affect the soundstage of these headphones. Grab a pair of these and some Swirl earbuds and you'll thank me later. My search ends there for my daily driver. I have a pair of KZ BA10 headphones which sound great for a balanced armature. I use Whirlwind earbuds for this, but the metal case can be uncomfortable for long periods of listening, so I've been using my kz zs10 pro headphones more. Now the CCA C12 is my daily driver and they are the whirlwinds and they are just excellent, enjoyable and easy to control from your smartphone.
