Review on πŸ“ MoKo Like Paper Screen Protector: Write, Draw and Sketch on Your Surface Go 2 / Go, Just Like on Paper! by Keith Wolff

Terrible at first but don't give up, it gets better with use and wear and eventually will look like paper

At first I wanted to take it off and throw it in the trash. The surface finish was "at first" awful to write on or touch. It was terrible. Before I threw it away though, I decided to wear it down a bit to reduce the texture of the surface a bit. So I used the included hard card to squeeze out the air bubbles and started scratching the screen with it to erase the surface texture a bit. Tried to write much better. I then scratched the surface again and finally got the feel I was looking for: paper-like friction when using the pen and good finger glide when using the fast keyboard. Bingo - it's really bad at first, but keep going and it gets better with time. I added one to the second tablet and used a beach towel to rub off the surface texture and that worked. Okay, that's good: the anti-glare coating works great. The structured surface significantly reduces reflections. Great. Paper texture is eventually preserved through frequent use or the use of something that erases the original texture. It's awful at first, but don't worry - after wearing it looks a lot like paper. What's not good: The original surface texture is terrible for pen or touch use. It is very bad. As I said, this goes away with use/wear and tear. Your screen colors will be muted and subdued by the surface texture. The same thing that helps reduce glare also degrades screen colors and contrast. If you are an artist, try something different. If you're a productive person working with Office and similar tools, this works great.
