Review on Henderson Aqua Lock Quick Dry Hood Sports & Fitness for Water Sports by Bobby Valadez

**For reference I wear X-Large. Measurements at time of order: Neck 16.25", Head (Crown): 23.25"** This is without a doubt an expensive hood. There are many alternatives. I have several hoods; and only from Henderson I have both this hood and the Henderson Thermoprene 3/2mm hood. This hood is definitely better made than all my other hoods. It is snug on the head and tighter around the neck than most of my other hoods (others allow too much play in the neck for water to pool). There is also a SMALL pressure on the jaw which may be unintentional but helps keep the jaw closed with the adjuster in the mouth. I only noticed this pressure when I flexed my jaw. The seal around the face is tight enough, but not so tight that you can't lift it to secure the mask seal. I bought this hood because I was very happy with the Henderson Aqua Lock 5mm suit and 5mm dive boots. Paired with one of my wetsuits, the bib sits flat under the wetsuit and provides a good seal that I have to intentionally "break" to burst open the suit and let the water in. My other wetsuits, hoods and boots are getting a lot smaller. use now. I won't hesitate to buy a thicker hood in the future when I'm in colder conditions.
